We got the JV15: Standard horizontal rail, and what can I say... (a bit hopefully). She stood tall, proud, and kept the crowd. The only way it was falling over was if you literally ollied into it from a direct side angle. I lost my 5-0 virginity to that rail, and it felt good.

It's very good for boardslides, as I mentioned earlier, it sure as hell isn't going anywhere, so you can pretty much try anything you want on it. I'd say it's pretty light for a rail of it's size, if your skate spot is a 10 - 15 minute walk, carrying it by hand is not a problem, we even set up a little 'wheelbarrow' technique, for those super lazy days. But hell... if you've got a car, worlds your oyster.

JV-15
If you're wanting to have a try at grinding and having a bash on rails, this is worth every penny and is a great start. You can drop it anywhere you want, on the pavement outside your house, or in your local skate park to spice things up a bit.

We've had this on flat ground, down/up slopes, across gaps and off steps/ledges, and she has stood firm to them all. As Dave pointed out, unless you come at this baby sideway's trying to knock her over, she isn't going to fall. The grip on it is also excellent, the only time she slightly moved was when the heavy board slider's really pushed into it.

Easy enough to grind, and great to learn on, you don't get hung up on top of it smashing you face first into the floor which is a major plus.

And as for the weight, it's next to nothing, obviously the length can be a pain in the arse if you travel through narrow yet popular areas, but I skated along with the rail in one hand to get to the desired destination.. or home.

Enjoy.
