Looking to buy a new board and have been checking some reviews. I suppose i have more money to spend on a board than a bike (which is currently in the moan focus too), but get way to attracted to the newer ranges. Anyone know much about this one?

Burton Vapor
If you are looking for a light and technically superb board then look at the Burton Vapor. Burton's have taken full advantage of their Vaportech technology. How did they design it to be so light, well they use a core similar to a honeycomb design which makes the Vapor around a pound lighter than most of its rivals.

The Vapor also has a multizone EGD and WSO sintered base which allows energy to be moved directly to the edges.
Riders and mags agree that the board is amazingly light and totally responsive. One draw back is that it appears to mark and scratch very easily so wack it up with your favourite eryc stickers or take extra care.

The Vapor isnt cheap but offers incredible performance in sizes to suit most 153/157/159 &163W.

See what I did there with the eryc stickers....clever hey.

Hi Stu, i've changed the post slightly so it reads a bit better. Hope you don't mind.

And yes very clever with the eryc stickers bit :), which by the way i belive are now in so PM me your address and i'll get some sent to you. That goes for anyone esle reading this.

I'd not bother with any of the more expensive Burton range, the competition out there for top quality snowboards is unbelievable, and feel you'd get a better deal with something else.

I'm a major Salomon fan, but mainly because I've been riding them for ever. If i had the money to buy that board and had Burton in mind....every 'Custom' i've ever riden has been sweet as! So that would be my choice.

If you're looking for something that's expensive, super light and blah blah, then just ignore me.

Happy hunting.

I'd never spend 6-700 quid on just a board. na ah, no way, not happening. Are you off to do a season or something?

All i ever hear about is Burton, Burton, Burton....Maybe i should try one and stop my yapping though.
