An Avatar is that picture used to represent yourself in a forum, if you could kindly divert your eyes off of this text and to the left of this message you will see a 90x90 pixel image of my avatar directly above my name.
You want one of these but are unsure how to get one? Ho ho, fear not my good persons.
First of all you will most definitely need an account with us here at eryc, it's free to sign up, but watch out... i might ban you for being retarded, ha ha ha...
Seriously.
Next, you will need to go to your Control Panel, don't know where this is? Ho ho, you're in quite a bundle there aren'tcha? Let Davey lend you a helping hand. If you look at the site's main links that roll down one by one on the left hand of the screen you will notice text that is not a link and clearly reads "Members", now if you look just beneath this you should be able to see some linked text that reads "Control Panel", you'll need to click that.
Alllrighty, now you'll need to click "Edit Your Profile", don't see it? F**king look harder you dipsh*t!. Ahem... Once you've entered the profile page you'll have to scroll aaaaaallll the way down to the fiery bowls of hell!, uhh.. i mean bottom of the screen, yup... that's it, to see your Avatar Control Panel.
Don't worry, there are no more links, just 2, yes, 2 ways! in which you can obtain yourself one of those cool avatars!
1 - Upload one from your computer! That's right... we let you do that much! Just click the Browse button and grab your desired image, but watch out for those pesky restrictions! Here at eryc we accept .Jpg/.Jpeg, .Gif.... umm, do we do .Swf? .Png? Whatever... just choose a Jpg, it's easier for everyone that way. Now then, here come the daddy rules that you must obey, Your image size can be no larger than 90x90pixels, so that's 90px on the X and 90px on Y, sing it with me now. You must also keep it uner 7kb.
2 - If you've found the perfect sized image somewhere on this internet land, you may use this option! Uploding an avatar from a URL! Simple get the URL of the image and paste it into the correct text field, then whap that upload button like it's your mothers birthday!
Don't know how to get that damn URL of the image? no worries sonny! simply Right Click on that image and select it's Properties, now you're good to go!
Have a Blast kiddo.
Note: Once you have uploaded your Avatar to eryc, you can erase it from it's original location and you wont have to worry about it dissapearing from here. _________________ GaryDave.com

I tried to make a video clip avatar, and it works on my computer, but it doesn't show up on the forums. It is a gif, it is under 65 by 90, and it is under 7 kB. It shows up as a question mark on the avatar space. What did I do wrong? _________________ See my avatar? That's me!.....What, no one believes me? i have video proof!

I was about to say that avatars won't support the type of file it is, but gifs supposedly do work, double check the requirements. _________________ Life life to the fullest; rape the day.

It said it was updated, so I'm pretty sure the requirements are right. I played it in Quicktime player, and made the clip on iMovie. Does that have anything to do with it? _________________ See my avatar? That's me!.....What, no one believes me? i have video proof!

Don't you have to do something to the file so it will play and loop?
EDIT: Until I figure out how to put my video avatar in, I wil use a temporary one instead. _________________ See my avatar? That's me!.....What, no one believes me? i have video proof!

iMovie? Quicktime? Quit dabbling around in those areas, you want a .gif, simple as is simple is, if it fits all requirements it will work unless the file is corrupt.
I'm guessing you've got yourself a .mov, and you changed the extension to .gif yes? That will never work. Please seek proffesional help.
