Well, I just bought a media skateboard off the net from Skateshed.com and I have come to find that the board seems a little too narrow (7.75)and the nose of the board is smaller than the tail. But I havent had a good board before besides a DeathBox because I just started skating about 2 months ago. So could you tell me if this is normal for a good board? The Deathbox board was around 8" wide, so I think that thats why Im not used to the 7.75". Im not sure on what to buy or anything, Like the wheels. I have Black Cores 54mm's (99a) and they seem a tiny bit heavier comparred to the white cores 54mm (99a). What wheel size and weight would you recommend for good street skating boards for easy ollieing and flip tricks? Though I could be mistaken, and this may be better than the Deathbox that I had. Though looking at the board, it looks funny because it is smaller with bigger wheels. What size would be good for a 7.75" board? Any way, there is a link at the bottom of this post to get a look at the shape of the bottom of the board.

(Sorry for the mutiple questions)http://www.skateshed.com/complete.php?page=1&maincatid=14&passsubcatid=38# The board I bought is at the bottom of the page. (The Sketch Series Board)

most street boards seem to be 7.75 these days, although if you want to do a lot of flip tricks you might want to try a 7.5. nose/tail wise i think the general consensus is that the nose is slightly larger than the tail, although i probably heard that from some fag. i dont think it really makes a difference. my current board has a bigger tail than nose, but my next one will have a bigger nose than tail. i never found out exactly why they did that

as for wheels 54mm is more or less the standard size i think. for more technical skating you might want some a bit smaller, although i wouldnt bother getting any new ones since your current ones will wear down in time

That deck reminds me of another deck... but i can't quite get the words out, ah well.

This is where i repeat everything Matt has already said but using different words. Oh no wait... that would be a little silly, i'll just stop typing and quote Matt.
