on the 30th and 31st of October 2003, there is gonna be some kinda skate exhibition up at Withybush. Mathew Pritchard is gonna be there, as well as two street courses that are going to be setup, a live band, a skate comp (think daf said it could be 21 against), and some globe and another company promoting stuff i think.

the reason they are there?, i think its unveiling of the Haverfordwest skatepark, not sure though, cant remember all that was said on the banner in school, but im sure someone else will know more on top of that.

theres the jist of it.

hmm... I heard that this wasn't going to be advertised and only "true" skateboarders would be told about it, so no kiddies turn up.

Ah well ... guess I heard wrong.

its like saying, 'your not allowed on my football team, because you aint good enough'

Tickets are being sold to secondary schools all next week for a fiver. Because the event is being run from grant money, they need this event to help raise money for the actual park. Tickets left over after this school week are going to be sold at game on, seaweed and hot n glassy. Only 500 people per day allowed...1000 in total over the 2 days. This is going to be awesome!

This event (and all following events) are not only intended to raise money but they intend to grab the attention of the coucil and demonstrate the NEED for a skatepark here. If they sell out on tickets and they still get people writing to the council, complaining that their son couldnt go cus of lack of tickets, that will eventually force the coucil to do something.

Also, three of the main construction managers (or something of that nature) will be there and we get to vote for the best park design for here. The HSA are attempting to get planning permission for building a skate park on that football field at the end of the bypass, just before cabria house. But since they havent been unanimously granted planning permission it MIGHT not be put there...but something is gonna happen within the next year or two...for sure!

What the **** ?

You need tickets ?
And they are selling them to little 13 year old kids who love tony hawks.

Not impressed I be.

Sounds like a HSA scam to make some money.

True skateboarders? that sounds pretty elitest to me, the whole thing is happening because the HSA got the grants from the council with the deal that children in the less privalleged areas get priority, eg the courts, and then the secondary schools get priority, and then they get sold publicly.
