One of, if not the best skateboarder to come out of France, Bastien Salabanzi, is the latest phenomenon to join Arto Saari, Stefan Janoski, Ryan Sheckler and Rune Glifberg on the etnies Team for 2004.

Image

Bastien's inclusion in skateboarding's elite began after winning the World Championships of Skateboarding in Germany, not once, but twice (2001 and 2002) in a row. Bastien accomplished the back-to-back feat before he was even old enough to drive.

Just as he had his own pro shoe out on Vans as well.. Kinda ironic really, maybe, who knows?

Etnies are takin the p##s with all the lo-cut/callicut derivatives, theres too many, most in rank colours as well.

That was an entirely random comment, sorry, I will now f##k off

Aimed more towards the rudes methinks, or the chillers out there..

I agree with you though, some of the colours are terrible..

Stop with the LoL's damnit. As durable as your mom's cooking, is that an insult to your moms cooking, or something else? From my point of view, that doesn't make sense.

I have etnies and it is true they are comfy but mine are not really lo-cut or trainer like. It's supposed to be a good thingy for a shoe to be comfy.

I might have even seen him skate. When I was in Paris about a year and a half ago, we stopped to see skaters in front of some Goverment building (or a museum or something, whatever). There was about 20 guys pulling some (at least for me who saw such tricks for the first time live) wild tricks, 360 pop.shuvits, nollie kickflips over stair sets and other mad stuff. Only later did I see in Flip-Sorry video with Salabanzi and other crew members skating on that same spot where I was. For all I know I might have been staring at him all the time and not knowing it. Some of those guys were pretty good, in any standards.

Damn
