Wowzers...I watch a lot of movies. And I gotta say that Blade and Blade 2 are just pathetic films. I love Jet Li films, mainly his older one's though like "Jet Li's Fist Of Legend"
I love films with a plot, not a point...but one of the best films i've ever seen would have to be "Enemy At The Gates". Anyone seen that? if not...go and watch it.

well the blade films aren’t exactly my favorite films but they are alright for mindless slashing and enemy at the gates is a good film i like alot of war films.
Here are a few explanations of a few films you may want to rent or buy.
Taxi driver is about a taxi driver called travis who has just come back from the marines and wants a full time job. He basically leads throughout his life being a taxi driver seeing all these different people coming in and out of his cab soon he realises that he wants more than being a taxi driver.....he wants to clean the scum from the streets...only one way to do it...also the quote "you talkin to me, are you talkin to me, i don’t see anyone else in here, you talkin to me" that quote originated from that classic film extremely great stuff.
Escape from new york and l.a are intense action films and if you have played the game metal gear solid 2 then you would realise that the main charater in the film has the name snake plissken and also he looks similar to solid snake.
The Thing is a classic horror film starring kurt russell where a team go an icey deserted base and find out that everyone is dead they soon realize that there are aliens that transform into humans and you have to try and figure out who is the "thing" pretty bloody in places and might be alittle out of date with the special effects, but its good for what it was back in the day.
Blade runners a good film if you havnt seen it classic harrison ford. He is a blade runner meaning he needs to find "replicants" which are robots in a way that were used to build colonies on mars. The replicants soon steal a ship and come to earth...this is where harrison ford comes in to blow them away. Not an all out action film you may need to use your brain in some places.
Hope that explained some of the films that you may not of heard of or seen.

Endless Summer 1 & 2 are classics.
Point Break is good.
Pulp Fiction is awesome
I Saw A Nights Tale the other day, thought it was alright, a little soppy though...
Jet Li films are quite good too, a little un-realistic in places, and comical, but theyre alright. He's no match for Jackie Chan tho eh Dave.. or Me for that matter.

Dave is Enemy at the gates set in WWII and about two snipers trying to kill each other? If it is then yes it is a good film.
I really dont like Jackie Chan films his fight scenes seem to be comical, Bruce Lee is alot better with with decent fight scenes.

Equilibrium was very cool, but one of my favourites ? no
This topic should have been list your 5 or 10 greatest movies, as this would of required more thought and wouldn't of turned into a spam thread of movie after movie. (which it probably will).
Some great movies, off the top of my head.
- Teenage Mutuant Ninja Turtles (all 4...or 5 ?)
- Lock Stock
- Jurassic Park (only the first one)
Of course there are lots more, and if I had to list my top 10, I would need a good few days to think about it.

Equilibrium is no way a cheap rip off it actually has a good story line and the moves he does is cool and you get to see some extreme action with a sword and it has nothing to do with hacking or computers just another verison of what life could be like in the future without any war etc

ok then, sorry about that ollie
another good film, panic room
this is about a woman, who moves into a house with her daughter, that has one of those panic rooms. a room where celebrities hide out if someone is attacking the house, with all the essentials they need in there. but little does she know, 3 men, try burgle the house, for money, that is kept in a safe, inside the panic room, where the mother and daughter are hiding from them. thats as far as i go, or ill spoil the whole film. its a very good movie, worthwhile.
