well i first started trying kickflip today and managed to land one! So im buzzin, it was not my first trick as there are many easier ones which i learnt first e.g ollie, 180 ollie, nosegrab etc but once you get the deck to spin its just practice, practice, practice. and to think i only learnt to olli a week and a half ago! i dont know about everyone else but i think thats pretty quick learning by skateboard standards. I found that skating with other experienced skaters helped than on my own, as they could watch me and tell me what i was doing wrong then tell me how to do it right.

i suppose some people find different things easier to learn than others, for example i really struggle ollieing over sets, curbs etc. I jus cant do the moving ollie, i need as many tips for it as people are willing to give but i need to practice them more and more. Also what is peoples opinions on element, alien workshop and enjoi decks? i am looking for a strong deck with lots of pop and concave that isnt too wide (looking for 7.75) as those decks were the ones that looked best in my local shop! If anyone is selling a deck i would be very interested but it has to be in good condition (Dave will slaughter me now as he is a firm beleiver of looking at decks in person rather than buying online etc). Thanks, luc

Haha yes.. the shuvit.. i managed to perfect my shuvit, making the board pivot on my front foot, it looks sweet and is super quick.. and i learnt how to catch a heelflip the other day, and my lord it felt so damn sweet.
But on the kickflip, ive got the flip nailed, i just need to jump higher, catch it and have the commitment to land on the board.

Daf.

i have been skaitng for almost three years and i can triple kickflip :blow: lol seriously. it only took me about a year to learn to kickflip because people kept asking me to do one and i would get pissed off because i couldnt. Its not hard once you learn it it kinda comes naturally and then do all the other tricks - sex changes - varials- double kickflips - 360 flips. People learn the kickflip first because you need it to do everything else. but i suggest you go learn the shovit first. by the way u guys are all from the uk? wow cool
