We’ve been here a while, over a decade in fact. 

The History ...

eryc was first born way back in 2001 as a photo gallery and forum for a bunch of skaters and action sports enthusiasts in West Wales. A load of guys (and girls) that enjoyed meeting up and having a laugh, and drinking the occasional beer.

Things have moved on a little since then (but you can still find the original crew lurking on the forums). We’ve evolved several times over the years, introducing new features, coming up with funky new designs, running competitions, blah blah etc and giving our members and visitors what they requested ( well most of the time).

Through all that, we have grown into one of the biggest board sports communities in the UK, with an ever growing member base, comprising of fellow enthusiasts from all over the world. We’ve always had an ethos on eryc, and run the site in a friendly laid back manner, it doesn’t matter if you dont even participate in action sports.

This is shown in the way the members interact. We’re all friends here. 

As a close member of the forum once said:

I should by all standards be a total alien here but I adapted just fine. That goes for all newcomers. Rules are quite simple (if any). Being pointless and unintelligent in your posts speaks about YOU and not about those who may dislike it. I've found people on eryc who have totaly different lives, situations and interests than mine but skateboarding as well as just being normal (being yourself for whatever that means) keeps our dialogues interesting and fun. As strange as it may seem, word "friends" comes to mind when I think about eryc. - Kink, 2005.

The Present ...

We continue to develop the community, adding new features and removing bits that might not work so well. And now there's a shop too with all sorts of wonderful things.

Does this mean we will now be walking around with giant ego’s and wearing suits? Hell no. Though some of us had big ego’s to begin with, and suits left over from weddings from those we’ve lost, so technically, yes, sometimes .... moving on .....

We are still the laid back group we have always been! It’s been a long time in the making - with years (yes, literally) of hard work. Our aim is to bring together all your sporting and leisure needs under one roof (excuse the corporate spiel), whilst allowing us to continue developing the community in bigger and better ways.

In a nutshell, that should give you a quick idea as to how we run things around here cool but clever.

The Future ...

If all goes to plan, we want to rule the world, but fear not, you can rule it with us.

We always listen to you, the members our customers, new and old friends from years ago, you guys make this site. You are the blood and guts, and without you we wouldn’t exist (thank you by the way, we love you).

So don't be a stranger. If you have ideas on what you would like to see on the site, please drop us an email, call for a chat or just get on the forums. It's all good. Seriously, no suggestion is too small, and no idea is too stupid.

We cant evolve without you and your feedback.
